Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)
WHEREAS Chotanagpur Law College is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent mechanism for addressing students’ grievances.
NOW THEREFORE in compliance with the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023, the College has constituted a Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) to provide an effective framework for students seeking redressal of grievances related to academic and administrative matters.
1. Objectives of the SGRC
The Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) is established to:
- 1. Provide a structured and accessible platform for students to express grievances.
- 2. Ensure a fair, impartial, and timely resolution process.
- 3. Uphold transparency and accountability in academic and administrative decisions.
- 4. Safeguard the rights of students while promoting an environment free from discrimination and injustice.
2. Definition of Grievance
A grievance shall include complaints related to:
- Admission irregularities or denial of admission against declared policies.
- Non-payment or delay in scholarships or financial aid.
- Withholding of academic documents without valid reasons.
- Non-transparent examination or evaluation practices.
- Delay or denial in fee refunds beyond the timeline specified in the prospectus.
- Discrimination or harassment based on caste, gender, minority status, or disabilities.
- Academic quality concerns related to promised educational standards.
- Any violation of student rights under applicable UGC regulations and institutional policies.
