The Chotanagpur Law College established in the 1954 situated in the tribal populated region in the North Chotanagpur region in Ranchi District. The College is a permanent affiliated unit of Ranchi University, Ranchi as well as Bar Council of India, New Delhi and registered under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act. The college is a NAAC accredited institution.
The College has four (04) acres land in the prime location of the Ranchi – Tata Road, NH-33.
The College has beautiful and big building divided in to several parts such as Administrative building, Hi-Tech class rooms with Digital Board and internet facility, Moot court hall with wi-fi facility, Library and Electronic Library and Auditorium hall with audio-visual facilities built up in approx. 72,000 sq.ft.. The college also has a City Centre situated in the Balkrishna high school premises in front of Jain Mandir, Shahid Chowk, Ranchi. The Founder of Balkrishna high school and Chotanagpur Law College is same known as Late Barrister S. K. Sahay.

The College has its own Auditorium Hall built up in 4500 sq.ft. in the college campus with complete Hi-tech facilities such as Audio-Visual, wi-fi and projector with screen and very good sitting arrangements.
The College Library is built up in 15000 sq ft. having sound space and good sitting with proper lighting and sun light arrangements and internet facility vis-a-vis very excellent book keeping arrangements in order and alphabetic manner.
The Law College has introduced facility known as Electronic Library for both bookkeeping as well as information retrieval. Since it now has a high speed Broad Band line connection to the internet as well as subscription of Lexis Advance, Manupatras – an online facility of Law Journals, AIR, Supreme Court’s Judgments, High Courts Judgments, Subordinate Courts Judgments and any matter of law, it is possible to have easy access to information directly from all available computerized data bases from all over the world, not only in the field of law but also in other disciplines. With a computerized library system it is the aim of the library to establish a network of law libraries in India and also to establish a National Legal Information Centre, which will act as a clearing house of information in the field of law.
The Library has all state-of-the-art gadgets with Wi-Fi internet connection and highly modernized Audio-Visual equipments with tele-conferencing facility.
The College has Moot Court Hall built up in apx. 3000 sq. ft. in the campus with complete sitting arrangements, internet facility, photocopier machine, computers, printer etc.
The college has constructed approx 30,000 sq. ft. (Ground + 4 floors) building for library and research as Central Excellence Wing equipped with all hi-tech facilities.
The college has constructed approx 5,000 sq. ft. (Ground + 1 floor) building for Principal Residence cum Guest House.
